The medicine passport in multiple languages
A medication passport is a handy record of your medications, available in multiple languages. It is often indispensable during border controls or hospital visits abroad.
What does it say?
- Name and dosage of your medicines
- Pronouns and form of administration
- Your information and that of your pharmacy
When do you need it?
- When traveling by air or outside the EU
- If you are taking medications that fall under the Opium Act (such as strong painkillers or soporifics)
- When in a medical emergency abroad
Important: The medicine passport is not an official travel document. For some medications, also request an English-language doctor's certificate via www.hetcak.nl.
You can request your medicine passport from us free of charge. We will print it out for you right away or send it digitally.
