Our House Rules
Welcome to Zon Apothekers, Vlijmen Pharmacy
We want everyone to feel welcome, safe, and respected in our pharmacy. This applies to our patients and visitors, as well as to our staff.
To provide quality pharmaceutical care and maintain a safe and pleasant environment, the following house rules apply.
Respect for One Another
- We treat one another kindly and with respect.
- We expect patients, visitors, and employees to respect one another.
- Offensive, intimidating, threatening, or other inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
- Discrimination is not permitted.
Aggression, threats, and violence
Aggression and violence are not tolerated in our pharmacy.
By this we mean, among other things:
- swearing, insulting, or humiliating;
- shouting at or speaking aggressively to staff or visitors;
- threatening or intimidating;
- using or threatening physical violence;
- spitting, hitting, kicking, pushing, or throwing objects;
- sexual harassment or other unwelcome behavior;
- damaging property.
In cases of serious or repeated inappropriate behavior, we may take appropriate measures. If the situation warrants it, the police may be called.
Privacy
Personal and medical information is discussed in a pharmacy. We therefore consider the protection of your privacy to be of the utmost importance.
We ask that you:
- maintain a sufficient distance when another patient is being assisted at the counter;
- not to eavesdrop on other people’s conversations;
- to respect any confidential information you happen to hear or see;
- to follow our staff’s instructions regarding privacy.
Would you like to have a private or confidential conversation? Please let one of our staff members know. The KNMP also emphasizes the importance of privacy at the counter and provides pharmacies with specific information and resources for this purpose. [knmp.nl]
Photographs, Video, and Audio Recordings
To protect the privacy of patients, visitors, and staff, it is not permitted to take photographs, video, or audio recordings of others without permission.
If you wish to take recordings for a specific reason, please discuss this with a staff member in advance.
Cell Phones
Please use your cell phone in a way that does not disturb other visitors or staff members.
When you are being assisted at the counter, we ask that you end your phone call so that we can assist you carefully and with the attention you deserve.
Alcohol, Drugs, and Weapons
The use of alcohol or drugs in the pharmacy is not permitted.
Behavior under the influence of alcohol or drugs that causes a nuisance or an unsafe situation will not be tolerated.
Bringing or using weapons in the pharmacy is not permitted.
Theft and vandalism
Theft and the intentional damage of property belonging to the pharmacy, employees, or visitors will not be tolerated.
The police may be called in the event of criminal offenses.
Smoking and Vaping
Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes or vapes are not permitted in the pharmacy.
Animals
For reasons of hygiene, safety, and potential allergies, we ask that you do not bring pets inside.
Service dogs are, of course, welcome.
Children
Children are most welcome. Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising them. We ask that you ensure children do not create dangerous situations or disturb other visitors.
Emergencies
In the event of a fire, a medical emergency, or any other emergency, you must always follow the instructions of our staff, emergency response team members, and emergency services.
Our Commitment to You
Even in the event of a disagreement or complaint, we are committed to assisting you with the utmost care.
Are you dissatisfied with our service? Please discuss this with one of our staff members or the pharmacist. We’d be happy to work with you to find a suitable solution.
However, a complaint or difference of opinion is not a reason for aggressive, intimidating, or threatening behavior.
Failure to comply with the house rules
If someone fails to comply with these house rules, we will address the issue with that person.
Depending on the nature and severity of the situation, further measures may be taken. In the event of a criminal offense or an acute safety hazard, the police may be called.
Together, we ensure a safe, respectful, and pleasant pharmacy.
