Are you going on a trip? 7 important tips!

  1. Take your medicine list with you!
  2. Are you using a drug that falls under the Opium Act? For example, strong painkillers, sleep aids, tranquilizers or medications for ADHD? Then the medication summary from the pharmacy is not sufficient. You will need a special declaration from customs. We are happy to check whether your medication falls under the Opium Act. You can also see for yourself whether your medication is on the list. More information can be found here.
  3. Take enough medication with you for the travel period and the following week. Order them on time from your pharmacy, at least five days before departure.
  4. Check the expiration date of your medications before you travel.
  5. Some medications make you more sensitive to sunlight. This applies, for example, to some antibiotics. Read here which medications are involved and how to protect yourself. Be at least careful with sunlight when using the drugs adapalene, tacrolimus and isotretinoin and the antibiotics doxycycline and sulfadiazine. With these medications, the label usually says, "Avoid bright sun and UV lamp on skin."
  6. Maybe you have medications that need to be kept refrigerated. Ask us for advice.
