Dear healthcare consumer,

You regularly receive emails or letters from various organizations. Unfortunately, criminals are increasingly abusing the name of these organizations by sending out fake messages that look like genuine communications. We would like to draw your attention to fake emails sent in the name of Infomedics. Infomedics sends the bill for your medication on our behalf. (Only medication that does not go to the health insurance company).

Worldwide, large collections of email addresses are available that were once captured in data breaches from other organizations, such as web shops, apps and online services. Criminals use these lists for large-scale phishing campaigns.

Because Infomedics is a well-known and trusted party within the medical billing industry, its name is used to increase the chances of success.

We are happy to help you handle digital messages securely. Below you can read what to look out for and how to recognize genuine communication from Infomedics.

How to recognize a real Infomedics bill

  1. Disclosure of your health care provider
A real bill always clearly states which health care provider you visited.
  2. Infomedics addresses you personally
In the salutation of bills Infomedics sends by e-mail, your (last) name.
  3. Payment reference
A real Infomedics bill has a 14-digit payment reference, always ending in 071. Check this via Infomedics' account checker.
  4. Payment Environment
In a genuine Infomedics email, you will find a blue button that leads to
https://rekening.infomedics.nl. There you can pay securely with iDEAL.
Infomedics does not send direct iDEAL or Wero payment links by email.
  5. No attachments
For your security, Infomedics never attaches the full bill, which contains the details of your healthcare costs.
