In our pharmacies, we have medication adherence as a major focus. What therapy adherence means and why it is so important, read below. Consequences

A study shows that 15% of all preventable hospital admissions are related to therapy non-adherence. That may seem low. When you consider that 1660 out of 18244 people die annually from some form of heart disease or stroke due to not taking medications or not taking them on time, that's significant.

A serious issue

When dispensing medications, we do our best to inform you as best we can about their use. If you follow the prescription, your recovery is most likely to be successful. It also minimizes the burden of disease. Therapy adherence is therefore a serious issue.

One example

Patients with asthma may begin to experience severe shortness of breath due to improper inhalation. The consequences can be severe, up to hospitalization.

Three important pieces of advice

.
  1. Please closely follow the instructions given to you by your doctor or at the pharmacy counter.

    .
  2. If you can, choose to "auto-repeat" your prescription. You won't forget to request your prescription, as we will arrange it for you. You can arrange this through the form on our website.

  3. Many times we will point it out to you. If not and you believe it suits your situation, ask for the medicine roll. With the medication roll, you will get your medication packaged on a roll by intake time.
