Self-care
What are self-care drugs?
Self-care drugs are medications you can buy without a prescription. They are also called over-the-counter (OTC) drugs. Examples include paracetamol, nasal drops, vitamins or herbal remedies. You can get these medicines at pharmacies. They are not covered by health insurance.
Expert
It is important that you always tell your pharmacy and doctor which self-care medications you are taking. Because many medications have a nasty interaction with self-care medication. By passing this on, we can check whether it is safe to use these medicines together. It is important to do this in the pharmacy, as the drugstore or supermarket employee is not trained to assess this properly. We have highly qualified personnel who can give expert advice on this. So then you are always safe.
More expensive at the pharmacy? No way!
Are self-care drugs much more expensive at the pharmacy than at the drugstore? No way! We regularly do price comparisons and it is precisely the drugstore channel that is often more expensive than the pharmacy. Do you use medication and need self-care products? Be wise and get them through our pharmacy.
