Regional service pharmacy
Regional service pharmacy
The Waterland 24-hour pharmacy is the service pharmacy for the Zaanstreek-Waterland region. Until 23:00, the residents of the Zaan region can go to the Zaan pharmacy with emergency prescriptions.
Our team is therefore ready for you day and night. During the service we are present for the real emergencies. If your prescription is not an emergency, you can wait until the next business day to submit the prescription to your own pharmacy. This also applies to health care questions or hand-me-downs.
There is a service charge for prescription drugs and a surcharge on hand-selling drugs in service. For drugs that are eligible for reimbursement, we claim that the service rate from your health insurance company.
Always request the medications you are taking in advance from your own pharmacy so that you do not run out in the evening or on weekends. Your own pharmacy also offers you the possibility of picking up medicines outside of opening hours from the medicine dispenser. See your own pharmacy's website for these services.
If you do run out of medication, we can help you with that too. Medication that you have been taking for some time can be picked up at the 24-hour pharmacy, as long as the complaint or condition has not worsened. For opiate drugs, for example morphine, benzodiapines such as oxazepam and antibiotics, you always need a new prescription. In the service you need to contact GP Post for this. You can find the phone number of the GP clinic on the website.
